Founded in 1851 by young fishmonger John Scott as an oyster warehouse in Haymarket, Scott’s Oyster Rooms soon established itself among London’s most celebrated seafood restaurants and oyster bars. What began with a devotion to exceptional produce has, over 175 years, become a tradition of uncompromising quality, impeccable hospitality and timeless elegance.
After more than a century on Coventry Street, Scott’s moved to 20 Mount Street in 1967, where its story continues today. Generations have gathered around its tables, drawn by the same enduring pleasures: oysters, Dover sole, Champagne and the unmistakable atmosphere of an evening at Scott’s.
One hundred and seventy-five years is a remarkable milestone. For Scott’s, it is simply the continuation of a legacy that began in 1851.
